European Society of Regional Anaesthesia & Pain Therapy (ESRA)

The European Society of Regional Anaesthesia and Pain Therapy (ESRA) was founded in 1980 to further regional anaesthesia in Europe. Since then, more than 3,500 members all over Europe joined the association and a considerable number of congresses with excellent scientific standard was held. The European Diploma in Regional Anaesthesia & Pain Therapy, created in 2005, aims to establish European standards and the European Diploma in Pain Medicine Management is supposed to improve and to harmonize quality standards for safe, independent practice of pain medicine in Europe and elsewhere.
