German Sponsorship award for pain research and pain therapy

The German Society for Pain Medicine e.v. (DGS) has awarded annually since 1986 together with the German Pain League e.v. (DSL) the German Pain Prize – German funding prize for pain research and pain therapy. It honors personalities who have been recognised for their scientific work on the diagnosis and therapy of acute and chronic pain conditions, or those, who through their work have contributed to the understanding of the impact that pain has and the patients affected by the problem.

The grant Prize of €5,000 will be awarded on the German Pain and Palliative Day in Frankfurt/Main and in the year 2019 together by the DGS, the largest society of actively practicing pain therapists, and the DSL, the nation's largest patient Organisation for pain patients and their families, first donated without commercial support from the pharmaceutical industry. Nominations and applications must be submitted by 30 November 2018 at the latest. The choice will be made by an independent jury and the scientific advisory board.
