Launch of Societal Impact of Pain (SIP) in France
On May 31st, the French Society for the Study and Management of Pain (SFETD) and the pharmaceutical company Grünenthal have launched the national Societal Impact of Pain (SIP) platform in France. Many healthcare professionals took participation in this meeting with the title “From a journey of wandering to a course of care”.
The SFETD unites many French societies, representing healthcare professionals from different fields in medicine with the main goal to optimize the management and treatment of pain patients.
Prof. Serge Perrot, President of SFETD and Prof. Gisèle Pickering, counselor at European Pain Federation EFIC, emphasized on the importance of having an integrated approach in pain management, which gives the ground for developing and implementing an advocacy plan on this issue.
