Who are the winners of the 2nd Brain Mind and Pain Grant “Stop Stigma”?

Brain, Mind and Pain Grant

On June 24th, the winners of the 2nd Brain, Mind and Pain Grant with the theme "STOP Stigma! Reduce stigma to improve quality of life for brain, mind, and pain patients" have been announced in a virtual ceremony. Eleven high-quality projects have been submitted which all focused on the interests of patients. The Jury has selected the following projects to receive the grant:

  • ASpida: Against Stigma pain intervention development Approach (Vasilis Vasiliou, from the School of Applied Psychology, University College Cork)
  • StigmApp (Yiannis Koumpouros, from the University of West Attica)
  • #RompeConElDolor – Breaking stigma on chronic pain in diabetes and other diseases through shared experiences on social media (Irune Elosegui, Federación Española de Diabetes (FEDE))

We congratulate all winners of the BMP grant and are excited to hear from the results of the projects!

The BMP Grant has been developed by Pain Alliance Europe and the partner organizations European Pain Federation EFIC, the European Academy of Neurology (EAN) and the European Federation of Neurological Associations (EFNA). Grünenthal provides funding for this initiative.
