SIP meets virtually with the Office of MEP Alfred Sant

On the 26th of October 2020, the SIP team had the chance to meet virtually with the Office of MEP Alfred Sant (S&D, Malta). In addition to MEP Sant and the SIP team, the meeting was also attended by Gertrude Buttigieg of SIP Malta. The SIP team used this opportunity to speak about:
- SIPs long-term priorities
- SIPs 2020-21 Policy Priorities (cancer pain policies, employment and social of pain patients, and pain and digital medicine), and
- Specifically the SIP Cancer Pain Policy Paper Key Facts and Key Recommendations
During the meeting, Gertrude Buttigieg highlighted the importance of digital medicine and exchange of best practices at European level, which forms one of the SIP 2020-21 policy priorities.
The SIP team thanked MEP Sant for endorsing the SIP Joint Statement and for showing continued support for the Societal Impact of Pain project. SIP looks forward to continued dialogue and collaboration with the Office of MEP Sant.
