International and national pain initiatives have been shown and outcomes from the working groups on day 1 were presented. Martin Seychell, Deputy Director General in the Health and Food Safety's Directorate, announced the integration of the Societal Impact of Pain into the European Commission’s EU Health Policy Platform together with the creation of a dedicated expert group.
