EU-OSHA launched the Healthy Workplaces Campaign 2020-2022

The European Agency for Safety and Health at Work launched the Healthy Workplaces Campaign 2020-2022, which focuses on work-related musculoskeletal disorders (MSDs). The campaign provides information, resources, events, and best practice tips on how to protect workers by preventing and managing MSDs. The priority area for the first three months of the campaign is ‘prevention’.

Along with the launch of the campaign on the 22nd of October, EU-OSHA held a webinar on work-related MSDs prevalence, prevention, and policy. They also unveiled the results of multiannual research on work-related MSDs. According to EU-OSHA's research, backache (43%) is the most common form of MSD, the condition can affect all areas of the body. Muscular pain in the upper (41%) and lower (29%) body also affects a large section of the workforce.
