Parliament's Motion for a Resolution in Austria

Motion for a resolution for improved chronic pain management unanimously accepted by Austrian Parliament

On 27 June, a motion for a resolution to improve the situation of chronic pain patients in Austria was officially and unanimously accepted by the health committee of the Austrian parliament. With this motion, the parliament calls on the Austrian government to act and to initiate change for multi-professional and integrative care of chronic pain patients in Austria.

Excerpt from original motion for a resolution (german):
„Der Bundesminister für Gesundheit wird aufgefordert umgehend Initiativen zu ergreifen zu setzen, um die Situation der Schmerzpatienten in Österreich zu verbessern, dass eine multiprofessionelle und integrative Versorgung auf allen Versorgungsebenen sichergestellt ist. Weiters soll der „chronische Schmerz“ auf die Agenda der Bundeszielsteuerungskommission aufgenommen werden.“
