Lancée en 2009, la plateforme internationale Societal Impact of Pain (SIP) est le fruit d'une initiative conjointe de la European Pain Federation EFIC® et des laboratoires pharmaceutiques Grünenthal GmbH.

An exciting Event has taken place on October 18th in Portugal with about 80 representatives from healthcare and patient organisations. From 19th to 21st March, the Congress Center Leipzig will open its doors for the approximately 2,000 visitors of the German Pain and Palliative Day for the first time. Pain physicians, therapists, pharmacists and nurses from all over Germany will be able to train and exchange information on current pain medicine developments in the capital of Saxony.

Time for Action: Predict, Prevent, Repair
Predict, Prevent, Repair are the 3 fundamental challenges in dealing with neurological diseases. Preclinical detection of diseases, developing disease-modifying treatments that will provide neuroprotection, and interventional approaches to repair or compensate for neurological alterations are currently hot and challenging topics.
Novel therapeutic interventions, designed to predict, prevent and repair across the spectrum of neurodegenerative diseases, neuro-inflammation, stroke, epilepsy, sleep disorders, neuromuscular disorders and genetic disorders will be in the focus of many sessions.
