The CHRODIS PLUS Joint Action of the European Union (2017-2020), has brought together over 50 project partner institutions, representing 21 European countries, to collaborate on and implement 21 pilot projects, to test public health models and tools, and to organise 15 national and 2 EU level policy dialogues. The aim is to generate practical and policy level lessons to support Member States in tackling the burden of chronic diseases. During its 36 months of operation, this project contributes to the reduction of this burden by promoting the implementation of policies and practices that have been already successfully tested. The further refinement and cross-border sharing of these tested policies and good practices across EU countries is the core idea behind this action.
The CHRODIS PLUS Budapest Conference on 14-15 May is one of the key events in this project where over 180 chronic disease experts arriving from 26 countries participate to discuss and provide feedback on the real-life experiences project partners have gained during the initiative’s first 20 months. This conference intends to demonstrate the impact that CHRODIS PLUS has on public health systems across EU Member States with a special emphasis on proving that the good practices, models and tools that the project implements can be tailored to various national and local settings across Europe. The conference’s presentations and roundtable discussions are structured around the project’s key focus areas: Health Promotion & Primary Prevention, an Integrated Multimorbidity Care Model, Fostering Quality Care for People with Chronic Diseases, ICT-based Patient Empowerment, and Employment & Chronic Diseases.
You can find the program here.
This conference is also very important for SIP, because CHRODIS+ takes as an important topic

The 46th annual meeting of the European Calcified Tissue Society (ECTS 2019) will take place from 11-14 May 2019 in Budapest, Hungary, with pre-congress day on 10 May 2019.
ECTS serves as a forum for researchers and clinicians working in the musculoskeletal field to discover and discuss the latest advances and controversies in research and in the daily care of patients. A special highlight this year will be the 50th year anniversary of bisphosphonates. Everyone in the field knows their history and impact on clinical medicine, but what will be their future? A forward looking session will review future developments.
Also new this year, the meeting will include relevant hot clinical sessions and interactive “how do I” to help managing patients going along the newest knowledge in the field.

The educational aspects of ECTS 2019 will include pre-meeting courses, working group meetings and workshops. There will be many interactive sessions: Meet-the-Experts, ECTS-ASBMR clinical debate and the Opening Ceremony will review ECTS Practice Guidelines issued during the past year. As in previous years, ECTS 2019 will include a New Investigator programme fully organised by our young leaders, the ECTS Academy.
This programme will give the opportunity to new investigators to network, share common interests, receiving mentoring advices and start building their own collaborative projects at an international level. Collaboration will also be highlighted in several joint sessions with international bone societies: ASBMR and our partners from China, Japan and Korea.

ECTS Congress is recognised a successful scientific meeting thanks to the large number of contributions coming via abstract submissions. We are committed to offer large visibility to promising abstracts by including them in plenary oral sessions, poster orals, SNAPS or via dedicated poster viewing sessions.

The German Society for Anesthesiology and Intensive Care Medicine (DGAI) invites you to the German Anesthesiology Congress (DAC) 2019.
All areas of their field face the possibilities and challenges of taking up the advancements of medicine and using them for the benefit of the patients. For years, there has been a tension between the demands of a high degree of specialization in various clinical areas and the availability of resources. The socio-economic working conditions, the lack of staff in the medical and nursing service and the high demands placed on the medical and nursing qualifications place high demands on organizational management. In addition, there is the constant increase in medical knowledge in this field as well as in all disciplines with which the Society cooperates in a variety of ways.
