8th Global Patients Congress
The Congress is IAPO’s biennial event that brings together patient advocates from across the world to share best practice, gain insight into pressing healthcare issues , and collaborate on strengthening patient-centric healthcare globally.
The Global Patients Congress brings together patient advocates from across the world to share best practice, gain insight into pressing healthcare issues and meet with others passionate about patient-centred healthcare.
Delegates representing dozens of causes unite to strengthen the global patient voice and improve the lives of patients worldwide. They:
- Meet others in the healthcare field
- Create national and regional networks
- Share expertise and speak out on behalf of the patients
- Learn from leading healthcare experts
- Discuss the changing healthcare climate
This year’s theme ‘Globally Empowered Patients: Building the momentum’ is based on the belief that an empowered patient is someone who is enabled to take action and influence healthcare decision making, and for this patients need access to high quality information. The congress is therefore an opportunity for us to come together and respond to the need for empowering more patients through knowledge by working towards leveraging all our resources to facilitate broader communications, broader awareness, and broader accessibility to timely and useful information for true patient empowerment.
Dr. Linda L.
