Dialogue on interdisciplinary pain care in Switzerland

Interdisziplinäre multimodale Schmerzmedizin im Dialog

On the 20th of October the Swiss Paraplegic Centre in collaboration with the Swiss Pain Society, the Canton Hospital St. Gallen and the health insurance company Curafutura will host a meeting “Interdisziplinäre multimodale Schmerzmedizin im Dialog” in Nottwil where policy makers are invited. The event will take place in the auditorium of the Swiss Paraplegic Centre and will begin with definition of the meeting objectives and working groups.

Clinical experts, patient representatives, representatives of the administration, service providers and insurance agents, Swiss DRG and the Federal Office for statistics, the Forum and representatives of the European Societal Impact in Pain (SIP) platform will come together to discuss how to improve pain care in Switzerland. There is high interest to build a SIP national platform in Switzerland and the SIP Europe representative from EFIC will demonstrate best practices from other countries how to follow their examples.
