The Finnish Association for the Study of Pain (FASP) was founded in 1996 to promote and improve multidisciplinary research and treatment of pain in Finland. Other objectives are to increase public and political awareness of pain, to legitimate diseases associated with pain and to improve the working conditions of professionals working in the field of pain. End of 2017, the association had 1050 regular members.
